June 13, 2016 https://www.photogbysusan.com/blog/2016/6/puglia-paradise-coming-soon

It's been awhile since I've added a blog.  I still have more pictures to add from my trip to Umbria last year and may add some from my Sicily trip before that. But first, I will be adding photos soon from the wonderful trip I made to Puglia, Italy this April.  Puglia is the heel of the boot that is Italy. Her most southern coast filled with ancient olive trees, charming masserias, warm people, beautiful food and luscious wines.  Bari, Matera, Monopoli, Castro, Ostuni, Gallipoli, Polignano al Mare, Lecce, Alberobello, Martina Franca...just to name a few places I saw.  This was another fantastic Nada's Italy tour (www.nadasitaly.com) which, again, did not disappoint!  I also spent some solo time again in Rome and Florence (my favorite), where I visited some of the places I missed on previous trips or re-visited some places I just love seeing to get different shots.  I obsessed myself with getting nighttime shots of the Fountain of Trevi when NO ONE was there but me and the 2 Italian policemen in their patrol car protecting the famous fountain. It was serene just hearing the noise of the water flowing through as it has for ages, with no crowds at all to ruin the moment !  I did the same at the Pantheon by staying at a hotel right next to it with a room overlooking the Pantheon and its piazza.  The occasional street performers in the evening added to its ambience with their musical talent. (a heck of a way to make a living!).

So, for now, browse though my past trips. Also, stop by Gallery Seventy Two in Mt. Holly, NJ  to see some of my work. And soon my new pictures will be here to enjoy. And in July, they will be on exhibit at the Burlington County Pemberton Library in Browns Mills, NJ.

If you have, or know someone, with a home, office, commercial building or restaurant with bare walls, let me talk to you about having them come alive with some of my photography!!

Ciao!!

Nada's Italy Tours - July 11, 2013 https://www.photogbysusan.com/blog/2013/7/nadas-italy-tours You may notice that I have travelled to Italy more than anywhere else. I have had the great fortune to be able to travel with a small group tour company called Nada's Italy Tours. Nada Vergili has "tours for people who do not like tours".  It is just groups of 12 wonderful people. No large buses, no following an umbrella wearing headphones, no fast food stops. The tours include the places you expect to see plus places you might never have the chance to know about, plus wine tours, cooking classes, enough free time and fantastic local restaurants and villas.  I was always afraid to venture to Europe since I travel mostly alone and always wanted to experience my Italian heritage. With Nada's tours it became reality. You really get to 'experience' Italy whether travelling alone or with someone special.

My travels seen on this site so far have been to Florence, Rome, Venice, the Amalfi Coast, the Cinque Terre, many towns and small villages in Tuscany.  In the next few weeks, I will be adding pictures from my last trip which was to the Dolomites, Italian Alps, the towns on Lake Garda in northern Italy, Verona and more of Venice and Florence.  For more about Nada's tours go to www.nadasitaly.com.....it's the only way to see Italy!

In future posts, I will have more description of these travels.
